Chapter 2
" Introduction
to Family "
A fine morning, I could feel the sweet balmy
flowers placed beside my apartment door. As I sit in my car, a ray of sunlight
was ready to pinch my eyes as always. It was habitual morning for me. I headed
to Governmental Taxi Stop in China Town. After a while, a women with a large
purse came in my car and asked me to go to Sicilly. "Damn, the same place
I was last night. What the hell is going on?
First customer and she also want to go to palce where I almost got
killed" I was engrossed in my scary thoughts when she tapped with a
questioning look on her face. What else could I do? I silently started car and
began to move towards Sicilly.
I had a azygos look at her. She was a young girl of 25. She was wearing
some kind of Spanish dress which was almost hidden in her black long leather
coat. Her purse was big and black too. Brown purses were most liked by women
then, but I thought it to be her taste. She was constantly staring at me with
her sharp eyes. She seemed Italian. Sicilly was occupied by Italian immigrants
and most of big businesses were also owned by Italians. They were the strong
and basic pillars of BOSTON economy.
After a while, we were
there. "Here we are, MAM" I tried to look calm. She tried to supress
her grin and surprised me with; "Okay, now, it’s time for you to go"
... " Wait, What? Thats my car. what the hell does this mean...."
Before I could finish, I saw a steel bat coming towards my window. Two men in
BLack rain-coats attacked me. As I came out, one of them hit me so hard that I
was unable to walk properly. But I tried to run and they were laughing at my
foolishness. I think they cinsidered it fun to watch me limping. I knew I
couldn't escape. So, I just hide myself in garage of someone who may forgot to
shut it down. Soon, they realised their mistake and began to search me. After
almost half hour, I feel safe enough to come out.
"Maybe those are the ones who I saved last night or maybe the ones
who were chasing us" I thought and then unintentionally decided to go to
Triml bar. As I entered that bar, I saw Joe coming from the door which was
specified for staff. He called me in and there was a whole new world in there.
We reach a door in basement and he asked me to wait for him. He went inside and
asked me come in after a while. There was a man of 50 sitting on a desk. Before
I could say anything, he started with a thanks for saving Joe and Mike. "
So, what made you come here? My boy," I told him the whole story. He asked
Joe leave us alone. " Look my boy, these were Falcone's men and they won't
leave you alive. They would kill you soon if you didn't join us. They would
find you even if you leave the country. They are much stronger than you think.
It's better to join a family like us. WE are brothers here. We have our own
rules, our own assests and our independence. We fight whoever damage our
values. What do you say? Are you ready to join?" Luca was enthusiastic. "I'll surely
think upon it" I came out and limped to hospital for medicine.
Before I could enter my apartment
building, both of those guys who attacked me entered the building and in no
time I was a chair coming down from my window. I was choked with fear and their
acts leave me no choice except joining Luca.
